One Inspiring Weekend

Last weekend I watched General Conference with my family. IT WAS SO GOOD! I loved the messages that they gave and the life experiences they shared. It is really an inspirational time for me and I am so lucky to be able to watch it!

President Monson gave the announcement that boys can serve a mission at 18 and girls can go at 19. This was really life changing for me because I might get to go on a mission now! I have never really thought about the chance, always thinking that I would be married or getting my education when a mission was available. Now I might be able to go without messing up any of my plans!

General Conference is available to watch at lds.org if anyone wants to check it out or rewatch some of it. I promise you will not regret it!

On another note, I will be doing a summer wrap-up soon! I have put my pictures onto the computer and now I just have to upload them here! Thanks! I will get those done real soon. Promise!

Goodbye June

I have been slacking lately in my blogging. Life has been so crazy in the summer! First we had Disneyland, then I had EFY, and then we partied with the Gittens until the left. Then there is also the fact that I am lazy and my computer won't let me put any pictures on. So hopefully I will post more soon.

At the moment, I am just awed in the fact that June is already gone and I am one month closer to being a high schooler!!!! Oh it's insane. So I will just do a little recap on what I haven't posted about and what has gone on in my life for the past little while.

  • I won Language Arts Student of the Year. That means that out of all of the 9th grade students at my school, I was the best at Language Arts. I am so happy and still so overwhelmed!
  • We had a great time with our cousins and family when they came out from Georgia! They were here for almost a month and we had so much fun! I miss you guys!!!
  • I have loved keeping up with all of my school friends! These friendships really do last and I am so grateful for all of my friends! You guys are the bomb!
  • Going to Lagoon has been a blast! We have been a couple of times this summer and it is very fun!
  • EFY was such a great experience! I have loved every single minute of it and I can't wait to go again!
  • I am very excited for our anual Fourth of July bash up in Oakley. That is a tradition that will hopefully last forever! It is fun to see the family and celebrate our country.
So that's a little bit of what is going on in my life right now! I will post more soon!

Jackson Hole

One of my favorite things to do every year is go down to Jackson Hole. It is such a great trip that I love and wouldn't trade for anything. This year we had lots of fun with the fam, making it a very memorable vacation.

We came in Thursday and got all settled in at our luxury condo. Yeah, it wasn't really luxury, but it was still nice. On Friday we headed out to Jackson Hole to shop til we dropped.

Next we headed off into the park to see the wonders that awaited us.

We decided to make this trip different, so this year we went on the Jenny's Lake hike. It was a very fun hike and a great place to see nature!

There was a beautiful waterfall at the end of the hike. I couldn't take enough pictures of it! My mom teased me about it, but I thought it kicked Adam's Canyon's butt. Feel free to agree.

We also went and saw the Upper and Lower Falls, as well as many other sites too! The critter watch was pretty epic if I do say so myself. Lots a chipmunks and a moose!

This trip was truly amazing! I can't wait until the next time we go up there because it is one of the prettiest places on the planet, and I love it.
