Goodbye June

I have been slacking lately in my blogging. Life has been so crazy in the summer! First we had Disneyland, then I had EFY, and then we partied with the Gittens until the left. Then there is also the fact that I am lazy and my computer won't let me put any pictures on. So hopefully I will post more soon.

At the moment, I am just awed in the fact that June is already gone and I am one month closer to being a high schooler!!!! Oh it's insane. So I will just do a little recap on what I haven't posted about and what has gone on in my life for the past little while.

  • I won Language Arts Student of the Year. That means that out of all of the 9th grade students at my school, I was the best at Language Arts. I am so happy and still so overwhelmed!
  • We had a great time with our cousins and family when they came out from Georgia! They were here for almost a month and we had so much fun! I miss you guys!!!
  • I have loved keeping up with all of my school friends! These friendships really do last and I am so grateful for all of my friends! You guys are the bomb!
  • Going to Lagoon has been a blast! We have been a couple of times this summer and it is very fun!
  • EFY was such a great experience! I have loved every single minute of it and I can't wait to go again!
  • I am very excited for our anual Fourth of July bash up in Oakley. That is a tradition that will hopefully last forever! It is fun to see the family and celebrate our country.
So that's a little bit of what is going on in my life right now! I will post more soon!

Crazy Summer

With my New York posts wrapped up, I still have to finish the rest of the summer. But when? Last week was Girls Camp and this week I am going to Grandma's! So I just wanted to get a few things down today before I wrap up summer.

So this post will be kind of crazy! I am going to post pictures of the fun things we've done over the summer. I'm not going to write a lot about them. Maybe a sentence or two. This will just be kind of an overview post.

One of the first things I did this summer was Showstoppers! It was super fun to be in that play and we had worked so hard so it was really cool to have it all come together. I had a specialty solo (aka I got to sing my own song!!!!) so I had practiced really hard and tried my best. Here are some pictures on stage and off.

We also spent a lot of time with the Gittins clan, since they are so cool! Here are some cute pics!

To celebrate Grandpa's birthday, we went to a Bee's game! They lost, and it started down pouring, but it was fun to be with family to celebrate Grandpa's special day!

We had our final piano recital! I played Pirates of the Caribbean and Christiphori's Dream, and I got to end the recital! It was really fun. Thanks Alica for teaching us!

We went to the Dino Park to participate in digging, seeing animals, and having a great time!!

We also headed down to Oakley for the rodeo. It was full of fun, competition, and great fireworks!

Well, that was a bit of my summer wrap up, but now I'm off to Grandma's. TTFN Ta-ta for now!!

We're Going to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo...

What about you, you, you? We're going to the zoo. Sorry. Random song moment. Earlier this week we went to the zoo with the fam. It was really fun and I brought my camera along!! Yay! I got some really cute pictures. We had such a great time! I'm so glad we could go!! Here are my awesome pictures:

We saw a leopard. He was a little lazy though.

We also saw elephants. There is a new baby elephant if you didn't know, and its a girl. Here's a picture of her with her mother.

Here is the daddy.

Here is the cousins with the elephant.

There was even an elephant that outside the gates!!!! Ah!!! At least the kids weren't scared!

Then we moved on to giraffes.

If you didn't know, giraffes have long tonges.

I think Holland is part giraffe.

We saw monkeys. This one was sleeping like it was dead, but it wasn't! I promise.

Here's a gorilla for you. My aunt said in Wisconsin, if you got up close to the glass, they would slap it and scare you!! Luckily those at the Hoogle Zoo haven't resorted to that... yet.

They were also focasing a lot on dinosaurs. They called it Zoorasic Park. I know, its hilarious. There were dinos all over the park. This T-rex is life size and even moved and rawred!!

Here's a cute picture of the kids. Hang on Braiden!!!

All in all, the trip to the zoo was a success!! It was really fun and I can't wait until the next time we go!!

By the way, I'm wishing you all a happy 4th today because we will be gone for the rest of the week!! San Diego, here I come!!!
