An Attitude of Gratitide

I have made it my personal goal to be more grateful in my life. I take so much for granted and I want to start noticing all the wonderful things in my life. So here's my challenge: I am writing down twenty things a night that I feel grateful about for a month. I started May 15th, and I am going to June 15th. As this is ten days into it, I thought I would share some with you: family, friends, rain, memories, chocolate, blankets, clothes, teachers, Spirit, and calm are just some of the things that I have noticed. My little gratitude journal on the side of this blog barely covers anything, so I am glad that I do this. Now I have a challenge for you! You try this Attitude of Gratitide Challenge (this will further be know as AGC) and see what kind of things you notice! Feel free to comment about any of the things you are grateful for in your life! I love you guys and I am grateful for the love and support you show me. Good luck with your AGC!!

Happy Birthday Mom!

If you hadn't guessed from the title, it is my mom's birthday today!!!! She is turning...well you don't need to know that. She has been a great mother for 14 years and still going! I am so grateful for all that she does in my life and I am so glad that I have her! There is a little bit about her in my Mother's Day Post and I am so glad that she is my mom! Without her, I wouldn't even have this blog (and you guys all love this so its all good!) and she helps me with a ton of other stuff. She supports me in everything I do and I am so glad that I have her! Happy Birthday Mom!

Another amazing person who's birthday is today is my Aunt Denise (she Mother's Day Post)! She is like a second mom to me and I am glad that my mom decided to be a twin! She is turning 25(as usual) and there is nothing anybody can do about it (for the full story, you would have to ask her). So happy birthday Aunt Nesie! I love you!

The last person who shares this birthday that I love and cherish (three birthdays on one day? You liar! NO!! We like to share birthdays in my family very much! Now be quiet and finish the post!) is my Grandma Janis (once again, Mother's Day Post). My Grandma Janis is super fun and super cool. I am so glad that she is in my life and I wish her a very happy birthday.

So there you go! My mom, aunt, and grandma all share a birthday and that is today (that's May 18th if you didn't know the date) and I hope it is a great one. You guys deserve the very best birthday in the world, and I hope you get it. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GUYS!!! I LOVE YOU!!!

Happy Mother's Day!

As it's Mother's Day, I decided that I wanted to post about the wonderful women in my life. These are the women that inspire me to be who I am and keep moving forward in life. I love each and everyone of these women, and I could not survive without them.

The first one is my mom. I love my mom. She is so special and she encourages me to do good and serve others. She is such a great example in my life and I don't know what I would do without her. She is always there for me, and I know she always will. I am so thankful that she is in my life and I don't appreciate her enough. Thank you Mom! I love you!

Another woman who inspires me and helps me in my life is my Grandma Janis. She is such a big help to me and I love her so much! I don't know what I would do without her because I can come to her with anything. I love you Grandma! Thanks for everything!

My Grandma Geneal is also a big help in my life. I love her so much! I know she will always love me. I am so thankful that I have her in my life, because I don't know what I would do without her. She is very kind and I always am happy when I am with her. Happy Mother's Day Grandma! I love you!

My other grandma, Grandma Nancy, is also inspiring in my life. She is funny and exciting to be around. I like going and seeing her because it is so much fun (not to mention AMAZING food)!!! Thanks for being a great grandma! I love you!

Some other influences in my life would be my Great-Grandma Joyce. When I think about her, I know that there is a reason that it says "Great"-Grandma. She was truly great. She passed away a year ago, and I miss her a lot, although I know I will see her again. She was amazing, and I miss her a lot. She cared for everybody, and she taught me a lot about how to treat people. Happy Mother's Day Grandma!! I miss you so much!

My Great-Grandma Rosalynn was also a great person. She cared about everyone and was an amazing piano player. At her house, I can remember that she had so many flowers. She loved flowers, and she taught me to see beauty in everything. She's been gone for almost two years, but I still miss her. Thank you Grandma for being such a great example to me!

My Great-Grandma Roberta is another example to me. She is a spirited, loving, and such an interesting person. She lives out in Oakley, which is such a cool place. I love talking to her, because I can tell she loves me. I am so glad I know her and I am so glad she is my grandma! Thank you Grandma!! You are amazing!

The next amazing person in my life is not a mom, but she is a second mom to me! It is my Aunt Denise. She is such a great aunt! I can still remember when I was little and she had me call her "Aunt Nesie!" She is funny and a great person. I love her so much and I know that she is there for me too. Thank you so much Aunt Nesie! I love you!

My Aunt Jessica is also a great person! She is funny and caring. She is a great aunt because she cares about us. I can remember when I was younger, I wanted to be just like Aunt Jessica because she was the fashionista. She is beautiful! She is a mother to three and is extremely patient. She has taught me a lot about that and I love her. Happy Mother's Day!

Another great mother is my Aunti R! She is kind and caring. I love to hear her stories! She remembers EVERYTHING. She is a great mom to my cousin Cora! Happy Mother's Day Aunti R! You rock!

This is a picture that was taken in 2009. It was a great Mother's Day, and I liked how we got all the mother's and the mother's to be.

So happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mom's out there, and especially to the women I talked about. You guys have a hard job and I am thankful for each of you. Happy Mother's Day!!!

EASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This post is going to be about Easter. I had a really great Easter this year. It was so much fun! I had such a great time! On Saturday, we went to my aunt's house for the anual Easter egg hunt. It was fun, and I got some good pictures. Here they are!

First the girls went to do the egg hunt. It was fun. Kim came along to join the fun.

This is my cousin Kerah. I love her to death and she is so much fun!

Here we are, still Easter egg huntin!

After the girls, it was the boy's turn. It was a mad dash to the eggs!

Ethan was a little confused about where to look for the eggs. Luckily, Cora was there to help him find some.

The boys were trying really hard to pick up all the eggs. They just forgot to pick up all the candy.

Everyone got a kite and a Easter egg with their name on it. Braiden's was lightning McQueen.

After the boys, it was Cora's turn. She was so cute picking up the eggs!

While we were watiching Cora pick up eggs, Kerah got her hair stuck in a tree. Luckily Aunt Jen was there to help!

When we went back inside, Cora didn't have enough. She still wanted to keep hunting. Kerah and I hid some eggs inside the house and she wanted to find them. It was so cute!

I got this video of her looking for egs. She is so cute! She found them all.

On Sunday, the Easter bunny came to our house and we got even MORE candy. It was really fun. Then we went over to my Grandma Janis' for a great big Easter dinner. It was so much fun, and it was nice to see everyone on Easter.

All in all, it was a great Easter. I will never forget it, and I can't wait for next year. I know it is a little late, but I want to wish everybody a Happy Easter!!!!!!!

A Very Inspiring Weekend

This last weekend was so crazy for me. My church did a Book of Mormon Read-A-Thon. Yep, that's right. Three days, 530 pages, at least two pounds gained, and 25 hours of pure reading. It was so crazy, but it is an experience I will never forget.

On Thursday, I was very nervous about my Rhapsody audition (BTW: I didn't make it) so I really didn't have time to think about it much. Right after we raced home, shoved some food into our mouths, and headed for the church. It was just the Young Women and the Young Men, so there was maturity to it. We were there for 3 hours and read 1Nephi 1- 2 Nephi 5. It was long but fun.

Friday was next. We all went to school feeling tired. When we got home, we had about 3 and a half hours to ourselves before we headed back to the church to do it again. This time we were there for six hours. We all had our camp chairs and read from the comfort of them. We read all the way to the end of Mosiah. It was a long day, and we didn't head for home until after 11.

The next morning I got up at 6:30 AM!!!!!! We had to be at the church by 6:45, so I just went in my pajamas and spent the whole day in them. They were pretty comfy. We were there for 16 hours that day. It was long, but very good. I could feel the Spirit a lot and I could see how the whole story fit in. We finally got home at 11.

This was a great weekend that I will never forget. It was so inspiring and uplifting. The Book of Mormon is one of my favorite books of all time, and this is the best experience I have ever had with it. I am so excited to read it again and see how it all plays out and understand it more. I will never forget this weekend.

The Best Toy In The WORLD!!!!

Sometime ago, my mother bought a blow up fun ball. BEST TOY EVA! Lauren, Kimberly and I had such a great time with it, we just had to take pictures. It was soooooo much fun! Everyone out there needs to get one of these RIGHT NOW!!! Anyways, here are some fun pictures:
This is Kimberly being Lady Gaga in her balloon dress.

This is a picture of Kimberly's Shadow in the bubble. We thought she looked like a princess and HAD to take a picture!

Then we took pictures inside and outside of the ball. They looked really cool.

When Lauren was getting in, Kim got almost flattened to death!

Next it was Lauren's turn inside the bubble. We did a lot of the same things.

Here is Lauren's super cool pose. That's right, she can work a bubble dress!

And then it was my turn. Yeah! Lucky me. I'm really shocked I got a turn!

The next two are almost the same picture, but the top one is my favorite because of the color reflection. The bottom one is just a regular picture, but it still looks cool.

When I was trying to get out, I fell over. Lauren just HAD to take a picture. It was crazy!

This is Lauren and Kim inside the ball. It has a cool blue tint to it and I like it.

I, of course, was being the paparazzi and Lauren was trying to block it. I LOVE Kim's face here. Keep on screaming Kim because I will keep taking pictures!

So there is our wonderful day with the best toy in the world. You really need to get one of these if you don't have one because it is soooooooo fun! This last picture is all of us. We all look great! Anyway, have a great day!
