Happy Birthday Bud!

Yesterday was my brother's birthday and I just wanted to take a minute and wish him a good one! He is 10 years old now. 10? Double digits already? Oh where has time gone? Really everything is going by fast and I just want to savour each and every moment!

I will post pictures soon! I just have to figure out how to upload the pictures to my computer as it hasn't been working so well lately. I will get on that! I have just been really busy since I started HIGH SCHOOL! Do you hear how crazy those words are? I am a high schooler. It's almost too much to believe!

Happy Birthday Braiden! I love you so much and you are such a great brother! I hope all your birthday wishes come true!

In other news, I am a driver with a permit and I need to be practicing more, so keep your loved ones off the sidewalks and out of the roads!

Birthday Bash

So I missed quite a couple birthdays on my busy break from blogging (try saying that 5 times fast). I want to go over a quick recap of the great birthdays we have celebrated this year!

Lauren's was first on January 15th. She turned 13 years old and is now officially a teenager! Someone please help my mother! For her birthday, she got a package of 16 inch Twizzlers! They were insane, but she loved them! My mom also made a cool flower cake to celebrate. It was quite the occasion to celebrate another teen entering our house!

Ethan's birthday was next. He turned seven on the 15th of February and to celebrate he had a lego party with his friends. It was a lot of fun for him and the boys to build and build!

My dad and I celebrated our birthday in April. We went to Robintinos and had a great time with family! My dad went over the hill this year and so we had to tease him about that.

For my mom's birthday, we celebrated at the Spaghetti Factory (as usual) and had a good time. I got a picture of her and my baby, who was born the day before!

We have done a lot of celebrating since the year has started, and I am excited to keep on celebrating! It has been a lot of fun and I can't wait until the next birthday that comes around!

Anniversary

Today is the two year anniversary of my favorite band, One Direction!!! They are My Newest Obsession and I am so proud to be a Directioner!!! I am so proud of my boys and how far they have come!!

Two years ago, 5 boys were told they were not good enough to continue on the British X-factor. It was a hard time and lots of tears fell. Then they were called back onto the stage, and told they were no longer solo artists, and they formed a band called One Direction. This happened on July 23, 2012. They started out as 5 strangers with a dream, but now they are 5 brothers who inspire dreams.

To celebrate this glorious occasion, I decided to make a cake. I planned to make it very good and magnificent, and probably the best cake in the whole history of the world. Well... it turned out a little differently.

There you go. It is a very simple cake, but sometimes the simplest things in life are the sweetest, and boy does this cake taste sweet! I am so grateful for my mother and sister who helped me pull of the feat! I don't think that it would look this good if it wasn't for them!

More Catching Up...

So I am really behind right now on my blogging. I promise to post, but here's a rundown on how life has been since the middle of October...

--I celebrated Halloween with my family and friends

--For Thanksgiving, we took a family trip down to St. George!

--I made the school play

--My friend Chancey moved away. I miss you very much!

--Welcomed the Christmas season with open arms, and it seemed to fly by, although we did get to do some traditions still.

--Went to my first stake dance with my friends! It was a blast!

--Had a great New Years party with my friends

--Went back to school and ended the second semester with a 4.0 both terms

--Got my hair colored and changed it... a lot!

--Celebrated the birthdays of Lauren, Cora, and Haisley all right next to each other in January

--Said goodbye to January and hello to Febuary, with Ethan's birthday just around the corner!

Well that is a little sum of my life right now! I will be posting more, but life is really busy right now!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRAIDEN

So here's the deal. My cute little brother Braiden is turned 9 on Sept. 29th. That's crazy. I can remember when he was born, and it doesn't feel like 9 years ago. Maybe the birth certificate is lying. Hmmm. I'll have to check into that...

Anyway, here is a picture of Braiden last year (why last year, you ask? That was the last time we got his professional picture done). Ahhhh. Here's so cute!

Anyway, here's how the festivities went down. We decorated Braiden's "birthday table." It looked great, and Lauren even blew up about a hundred balloons just to celebrate! Then Braiden got to open up one of his prized presents.

Yes indeed. He got a blue-ray Star Wars DVD. Lucky. The kid has loved that thing, watching it every possible minute. You really hit the ball on this one mom! Good job.

After that, Braiden gave donuts to his school class (always a big hit) and then we headed to the spaghetti factory to celebrate. Grandma Janis, Grandpa Dennis, Denise, and Jason were all able to come and join the celebration. Sadly, I don't have any pictures of this amazing event, but let me tell you, Braiden's face was lit up like a firework. He is just so cute!

Braiden got lots of good presents, including a poster from me, Ute pj's from grandma and grandpa, and a Ute's hoodie from mom and dad!

Braiden had a great birthday. It is crazy that he is nine! Soon he will be in double digits! Happy Birthday Braiden!!!

NEW YORK Day 1

ITS HERE!! As promised.  I know it took a little while, but better late then never!! This is part 1 of a 3 part posting group, to cover everything we did (and trust me when I say we did a lot!!). So sit back, relax, and enjoy!!!!

For my fourteenth birthday, my parents to me to New York City!! So I wouldn't miss any school, we decided to go in the summer (which was good for me and now for my mom's hair :) We did a red eye flight from Salt Lake to JFK, leaving at 11:30 PM and arriving in New York around 5:00 AM. Things didn't go as planned, and our flight was postponed until 1:00 AM Utah time. The four hour flight was uneventful, and we arrived at JFK at 7:00 AM. From there I took my very first taxi ride, and saw the amazing city of New York.

After checking in to the hotel and having a breakfast (where my mom's bagel was moldy, but my muffin wasn't too bad) we headed to the subway, where we rode a train to Brooklyn. There we saw the magnificent Brooklyn Bridge.

We then went to this dock by the water to get shots of the bridge.

After wandering around Brooklyn for a while, we stopped for lunch at Grimaldi's Pizza. Now that was good!

After lunch, we headed to the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory. It was heaven in a cone!

After eating all the yummy, but tedious calories, we head over to the Brooklyn Bridge to walk it.

You could see from miles around. It was really beautiful.

On the bridge, there were two arches, and they had lots of wire to hold them up.

After we finished walking the bridge, we headed over to Grand Central Station to check it out. It was HUGE!!!

This was the pretty design on the celling. Not a great picture, but beautiful in person!

There were lots of cool buildings in New York! The first one is right by City Hall and the second looks like fabric.

After Grand Central, we went on a bus tour where we met up with my grandparents!!!

It was a very fun day!! It was very tall and big and populated!! Sadly, after we got on the bus tour, my camera died, but we went by Harlem, the Lincoln Center, and Central Park. It was an amazing day, and I can't wait to share the rest with you!!!

Happy Birthday Mom!

If you hadn't guessed from the title, it is my mom's birthday today!!!! She is turning...well you don't need to know that. She has been a great mother for 14 years and still going! I am so grateful for all that she does in my life and I am so glad that I have her! There is a little bit about her in my Mother's Day Post and I am so glad that she is my mom! Without her, I wouldn't even have this blog (and you guys all love this so its all good!) and she helps me with a ton of other stuff. She supports me in everything I do and I am so glad that I have her! Happy Birthday Mom!

Another amazing person who's birthday is today is my Aunt Denise (she Mother's Day Post)! She is like a second mom to me and I am glad that my mom decided to be a twin! She is turning 25(as usual) and there is nothing anybody can do about it (for the full story, you would have to ask her). So happy birthday Aunt Nesie! I love you!

The last person who shares this birthday that I love and cherish (three birthdays on one day? You liar! NO!! We like to share birthdays in my family very much! Now be quiet and finish the post!) is my Grandma Janis (once again, Mother's Day Post). My Grandma Janis is super fun and super cool. I am so glad that she is in my life and I wish her a very happy birthday.

So there you go! My mom, aunt, and grandma all share a birthday and that is today (that's May 18th if you didn't know the date) and I hope it is a great one. You guys deserve the very best birthday in the world, and I hope you get it. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GUYS!!! I LOVE YOU!!!

Hello All!

Hi guys! Sorry its been so long since I last posted, but it has been crazy. I have turned 14! My dad and I had a great birthday shared with friends, family, and of course The Old Spaghetti Factory. I will do another post on that later. Other exciting news is I moved up to Mia Maids, had an AMAZING birthday party, and got a solo in my showstoppers play! There is also the fact that Easter was last week and I am so hyper and weird because of all the sugar (although I am sure some would argue its not just the sugar. Hmmmmm. We might have to check into that.) I am also trying out for Rhapsody in Blue tomorrow and I am super nervous. Anyway, I'll try to post more frequently and I will still post about our great Orlando trip and my birthday. Oh, and Easter. We can't forget Easter. Well, bye all!

Birthday Thoughts

THERE IS ONLY THIRTEEN MORE DAYS UNTIL MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
And speaking of birthdays, last years was great. We went to the Old Spagetti Factory (a family favorite) and celebrated. For those of you who don't know, my dad and I share a birthday. That is such a great experience! I love sharing a birthday with him! Anyways, here are some pictures from last year!

This is me and my best friend Kaylee. She decided to tag along and join the festivities!!!

This is me with my new Hunger Games Book!(Or it was new.) I loved the series, and this was a great present! Thank you Lauren for getting me this book!

Here is my dad. Again, the perfect present is from Lauren. How cool is she? Major cool. I want cookies!

Over on the other side of the table, my Aunt Kaylee (two Kaylees at my birthday! To cool!) and my brothers were having a contest to see who could keep a spoon on their nose the longest!

Here's the birthday girl and boy enjoying a great birthday. How lucky are they? Very lucky.

And here is the whole gang PLUS the waitress. Oh yeah, we know how to throw a party!

And there it is, last years great birthday, and I'm looking forward to another one. Hope you guys have a great birthday too! (whenever it is). Bye!
